Updates on the committee. Tristam and Tristan are spearheading the group to begin to create more impact from our club on our international footprint.
Bear Project – Pine Ridge – “Be excited about Reading”
25 YO project surrounding early education and literacy project.
Pine Ridge: Wendell Yellow Bull - Renovating the Millie Horn Cloud Building.
Converting a pole-barn structure in the town of Pine Ridge, Room by room, into a community and training space. Hands on Training in electricity, carpentry, and plumbing, community space, food preparation.
$1B Philanthropic Fund - To support tribal development, infrastructure, and functioning systems.
FEMA-decommissioned trailers are typically utilized as tribal homes. Example of Wendell Yellow Bull, well educated, successful and yet just got running water at his homes.
Guatemala –
Honduras – looking to make a commitment that creates an intentional long-term connection. As they progress past education and start to support them to impact their local community. This could be via money or networks, whatsapp, etc.
International Committee proposing $5k/yr annual budget
Make annual commitments to BEAR and Wendell
Make annual commitment to Honduras and Guatemala
Develop criteria for, and fund, an emergency response budget.
Be emergent for new ideas.
