Announcements:
- President Debra’s trip to Florida to visit her mom. And while Debra is away our newly elected President Elect Roger will be taking the helm.
- Dinner Raffle - March 18th! Reminder to share FB posts and like the posts, we have a "Square" account for those who would like to purchase tickets with a card. Remember to fill out the booklets of tickets for anyone who purchases with Square. Otherwise it will be a donation without the opportunity to win the prizes. And lastly, if you are having trouble selling tickets let the Club know so others can try and help.

- Bingo - Feb 28th 4- 8:30. We are still in need of a crockpot of mild chili, tuna salad and egg salad for sandwiches.
- Other announcements - Disc Golf, Nick will be organizing earlier than they have in the past for sponsorships. The disc golf tournament date is set for Oct 3rd and 4th.
- Student Rotarian Gilbert - Les Miserables will be happening on Feb 19th - 21st. Gilbert will be playing the trombone in the pit. They are in the 2nd semester of school. In Scouts, he just went on a winter camp training and spent the night (-7 below) in a quinzee. BBBBRRRR!!!!
- Tristian Johnson - Looking for a used router tool for the Bear Project.
Rotarians for Rotarians: There was a great turn out for the Ukraine Fundraiser put on by Jon and Kerry Secrest.
Between 100-150 people showed up and many donations were collected including online. The fundraiser supports non lethal support of troops and care packages.

Not Just Tourist "take a suitcase, change a life"
The medical supplies and other items are donated to NJT from hospitals, home healthcare companies.
In the US, billions of dollars of medical supplies are thrown away every year. Much of these items are NOT expired or have anything wrong with them. By donating the medical supplies, we are helping out our landfills while providing medical aid to countries that are struggling with the basic items and supplies.
Every year there are thousand of travelers around the world. Currently there is only a small group of people who will take a suitcase with them to drop off in another country.
NJT will answer any and all questions about the process and how to go about getting a suitcase to drop off.
The closest Chapter to New England is in NYC however, they will ship suitcases to people who are going to be traveling (you refund NJT the cost of shipping $20-$30).
Questions about Customs?
They never send drugs, medication or needles. There is always a letter on top of the items in the suitcase if it gets picked for checking and it explains the items. Usually there is not an issue as this is a "gift" to the country.
Prior to traveling, you as the traveler will call and ask about the closest clinic or hospital to where you are going. Most hotels and resorts will be happy to help with making the contact and with transportation to get the suitcase to the clinic or hospital.
This is a wonderful project and a great way to help our fellow countries who need medical supplies.
