June 1 really rocked! Our speaker Joe Heslin did an excellent job.

Student Rotarian Report
 
John – Last Saturday qualifier for track and field. Last year only 1 person. This year 2-3 relays plus 8 athletes. 5th Discus and 10th for shot-put in the state. John’s face is half shaved in honor of this event.
 
Bethany – National honor society closing shop and donating books. Collected over 200 books. 7 more days of school and 2 days of finals.
Bethany is a senior and graduating!
 
Next week is last week of student Rotarians
 
Conner Update : was a student Rotarian in 2013. Majoring in Policy Studies. 3 week trip throughout Europe. Costa Rica next year.
 
 
 
Announcements & Committee Reports:
 
  • Board Meeting tomorrow 6/2 @ WKTV – 7:15 am
  • Touch a truck – June 11 (Dan) 8 am setup – Event 10 am – 2 pm – BMH – Touch a truck needs help especially cooks.
  • Noon Rotary Golf Tournament – June 9 (sign-ups needed) – Sandy is turning in registrants. Looking for a fourth for a foursome.
  • Scholarships – Volunteers to hand out awards at graduation
  • Changeover Party June 29 in lieu of meeting – Location Hilltop Montessori.

  • Party Committee - Ameilia: Transition Party at Hilltop Montessori. It is a family friendly party.
  • Tristam – Read letter from Honduran scholarship student. Very inspiring.
  • Marcy – We have rotary hats for sale. $10. Also has started a guest registry so they can be contacted
  • Kevin – Introducing friend and future Rotarian. Lisa Fitzgerald.
